A Public Information meeting was held in Vandalia on November 23, 2010. The purpose of the meeting was to review the alignments developed by the reorganized Vandalia CAG (VCAG). Read more about the VCAG here.
During a series of five meetings held between August and November, 2010, the VCAG developed and evaluated a total of 39 alignments. As a result of the screening process, 35 of these alignments were eliminated by the VCAG. The remaining four alignments, in addition to alignments Vandalia S & U developed by the original CAG, were on display at the meeting for public review and comment. The feedback received from the public meeting will assist IDOT in selecting alignments to be studied further in the DEIS. The project team will seek agency concurrence on alignments to study in the DEIS at the February NEPA/404 merger meeting.
Links to the six alignments presented at the November 23, 2010, PIM are below. The project team seeked input on which alignment best met the needs of Vandalia and asked the public to submit a comment form. Comments received by December 7, 2010 became part of the official public record.
The displays and handouts presented at the meeting are available in the Public Information Meetings section.
